Animals in Kenya
See it hear it feel it

The African buffalo, the only native African cow are plentiful in many parks but they have a habit of hiding in the shade of thickets during the day and hence difficult to spot. The buffalo is closely related to the domestic cow.

The buffalos are generally docile animals and become extremely dangerous when threatened or surprised and must always be treated with caution especially in the presence of calves. Buffaloes form herds of about 200 and 2000 buffaloes, they are voracious eaters being both grazers and browsers and spend most of their 15 year lifespan consuming fodder in order to main their body size and strength
